Come and ride the paradise!
JOY-RIDES are great for bike-NEW or RE-starters who already have some MTB experience - fitness and condition should be there so that the altitude meters are fun. Driving is on slopes, paved side roads and short flowing trails can be tried.
Start is at the Zona Recreativa "Hoya del Pino" From here it goes downhill on the Pista Derrabada in the direction of Sabinosa. We drive through the laurel forest of the nature reserve "Mencafete" for what feels like an endless length of time. Shortly before Sabinosa we come to asphalt, the next few kilometers we have to be careful. The slope of this trail is proof that there is never snow here.
250 mountainmeter / 30Km
Condition and riding technique easy
The start of this joy ride is the Mirador de la Pena, which bears the signature of the world-famous architect from Lanzarote "Cesar Manrique". After we too have enjoyed the breathtaking view of the golf valley, things get serious. Our warm-up has it all, it's not exactly flat uphill along the edge of the golf valley. Past the Ermita de la Peña to the "tubo de tierra". On the tour, your guide will tell you what the "pipe" is all about. From now on it gets flatter, we cross the plateau "Meseta de Nisdafe" which leads to the Scottish Highlands unique in the Canary Islands, there are still horses, cows, sheep and goats to be admired outdoors on pastures. At the highest point of the tour, the Mirador de Jinama, we once again enjoy the view of the Golfo. It goes downhill of the Camino de la Virgen to San Andres until after a few more meters of descent we reach our starting point again.

Condition and riding technique medium
The first 1300m altitude we take the shuttle bus into the mountains. After 20 minutes we arrived at our starting point La Llania. We start today's tour with a small round on the "Superflow Trail" in the fairytale forest. The subsoil then becomes sandy, as is typical for the Canary Islands. The path leads us uphill towards the highest point of El Hierro, the Malpaso at 1501m. When the weather is good, we have a view of the neighboring islands of La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife with the majestic Pico del Teide. We continue westwards on the Camino de la Virgen with a constantly magnificent view of the nature reserve "El Julan". Arrived at the Montaña de los Humilladeros we leave the GR131. On the slopes we drive comfortably back to the starting point of La Llania.
500 mountainmeter / 25Km
Condition easy / riding technique medium
We start our "Hoya del Morcillo" loop in La Llania. A short and crisp climb brings us directly to the viewpoint "Mirador de La Llania" Through lush green trails peppered with ferns it goes to the next Mirador "Fileba". From here we cycle on the route of the Magma Bike Marathon towards Hoya del Morcillo.
In terms of flow, this way is almost unbeatable. So it goes endlessly through the beautiful pine forest. Whether beginner or trail pro, this gem conjures up a grin on every biker's face. Only the pine needles (Pinoche) you have to beware. Faster than one would like, they bring us back down to earth. Arrived at the picnic area Hoya del Morcillo there is a well-deserved café con leche.
Then it's uphill. First on the road which we soon leave. We continue our way up the mountain and enjoy the wonderful landscape and unique nature. At the Cruz de los Reyes we have made the climb. Almost flat we drive back to the starting point La Llania. If you want and still have power, you can cycle downhill from here to Frontera.
approx. 550 m and 25 km, condition and riding technique medium
The perfect tour for bikers who do not (yet) dare to tackle a trail or enduro tour. In addition to a lot of driving fun, driving technique exercises are also on the program. We look at difficult passages together and give you useful tips and assistance.
Start is, how could it be otherwise, La Llania.
From there have we different posibilities for a great Enduro Ride.... Just try it!
The enduro rides offer sporty to demanding tours uphill and downhill on trails - depending on the level of the participants, different descents and tires can be taken - your guide will be happy to advise you.
The tour for the "climbers" among you. We start the tour directly at the bike station in Frontera. The first HM is to warm up on asphalt to Los Llanios where we go to the Pista Longuera which leads us back to the Cumbrestrasse after 200m. Only a few kilometers we enjoy the gentle uphill on asphalt until we continue on the slopes at Casa Forestal. The 400m are decently crisp;) Finally back on the road we drive the remaining 500m comfortably on asphalt to Malpaso. After all, we still need enough power for the following downhill. From sandy trails we come into dense laurel forest. From super flowing, switchbacks and blocked passages, this descent offers everything that makes a biker's heart beat faster. At the end of the tour and the hardships, we review the day with a cold Dorada beer.
900Hm/ 52Km
Condition medium - difficult / riding technique medium
On this tour we will visit the zero meridian in addition to the lighthouse (Faro de Orchilla). Before Columbus discovered America, the old world ended at this point and the zero meridian was defined here, which was only later relocated to Greenwich.
900Hm/ 48Km
Condition medium / riding technique medium - difficult
From pine forest to lava trails and through dense jungle, this treat offers just about everything a biker's heart desires. Start of the tour is once again La Llania. From there it goes directly to the descent of the Magma Bike Marathon. This flow trail, which can hardly be described in words, is a MUST on El Hierro. Small jumps and berms put a smile on every biker's face. Beware of the slippery pinoches (pine needles) when you leave the ideal line, they hit you mercilessly ;-) After a short pit stop, the trail continues through pine forests past almond trees in the direction of El Julan. From here begins the main climb of today's tour. Sometimes steeper, sometimes less steep, the route climbs past the Mercadel fire lookout tower. We keep screwing our way to the Cruz de los Reyes. Finally at the top we prepare for the upcoming descent. First we ride down the Camino San Salvador until we turn towards Los Llanillos. This endlessly long epic trail makes us quickly forget the hardships of the ascent. As long as our forearms allow it, we ride towards La Frontera on deserted trails.
850Hm/ 40Km
Condition and riding technique medium - difficult
Through the wild plateau! A short shuttle takes us to the starting point of today's tour - Mocanal. It goes uphill through Gurazoca to the Mirador de la Peña. The building bearing Cesar Manrique's signature offers a unique view of the Golfo. From the Mirador it goes down 600 meters vertically. We continue along the ridge up to the highest point of the tour, the Mirador Jinama. From here we make a short tour on the plateau of the Meseta de Nisdafe, which is reminiscent of Scotland due to its cattle pastures bordered by stone walls. From San Andres, a short and steep uphill takes us to Ventejis. Once at the top, it goes endlessly downhill along an extinct volcanic crater in the direction of the island's capital, Valverde. After a refreshment, we continue biking via the beautiful Camino Reales to the mountain village of Echedo. Here it is again necessary to mobilize the last forces to cycle back to the starting point Mocanal.

Trail fun at its finest - your guide knows the most beautiful, flowiest and also most demanding routes. You can choose between tours with a shuttle into the mountains - or 2 shuttles for even more trails! -This is a small selection we have more trail rides...
Our first shuttle takes us to La Llania today. To warm up, we do a little lap in the fairytale forest in La Llania. Flowing trails put a big grin on our faces in the morning. After the "trail fireworks" we have to climb the first meters of altitude today. The ascent takes us to the edge of the Golfo valley. From here we ride on a dream trail along the abyss to Mirador Jinama. After a short photo stop, we continue to the plateau "Meseta de Nisdafe". This landscape, which is unique for the Canary Islands, is reminiscent of Scotland due to its cattle pastures bordered by stone walls. The weather is also a bit rough here ;) Crossing the Meseta, we continue to Ventejis. A short steep ramp takes us to the highest point of this area. Along a mountain ridge we go on a mega flowing trail in the direction of the island's capital Valverde, which we also cross for the most part on trails. The final section of the first descent takes us down the ancient Camino Reales to the seaside village of La Caleta. We are grateful for every centimeter of suspension travel on these paths.
550Hm/35Km
Condition and riding technique difficult - back with the taxi shuttle
Shuttle to La Llania starting point. Right at the beginning it goes a few meters steeply uphill to the Mirador La Llania. After putting on our protectors, we cruise through the jungle interspersed with ferns and lichens. We continue via the Camino de la Virgen to the mountain village of San Andres. We continue on beautiful Caminos towards Gurazoca where we make a short rest. Then it's downhill on single trails in the direction of Charco Manso. Lava trails typical of the Canary Islands lead us down to the Charco Manso (tame bay) which rarely lives up to its name. Meter-high breakers do not really invite you to swim.
200Hm/30Km
Condition and riding technique medium -difficult - 2 shuttles = 2 downhills
Shuttle by Taxi Express from Gustavo to La Llania. Today we follow the tracks of the Magma Bike Marathon towards the south of the island. Through the spooky forest of Llania we descend towards El Pinar. The Magma Bike Trail is awesome, no matter whether you are a freerider or a beginner, this trail highlight is a MUST for EVERY biker.
The ground is covered with pine needles (pinoches) which are quite grippy when wet but bring us down to earth quickly when it's dry ;). At the Hoya de Morcilla picnic area there is a delicious cafe con leche. We continue through the pine forest until we reach the agricultural zone. Initially through almond groves we come across the wine-growing area of El Pinar further down. From now on the landscape changes completely, in the dry south there is not much vegetation apart from succulents and cacti. Fig trees invite you to "steal" :) - Further down the ground becomes looser and looser, from fine sand to gravel with stones the size of a medicine ball, everything is there. Shortly before the end of the first descent, we catch our first glimpse of the Tacoron bay. In our opinion by far the most beautiful bathing bay in El Hierro. Arrived at the bottom we refresh ourselves in the waters of the Atlantic and have a few tapas in the beach bar.
